Titel onderzoek: Islamic Heritage Tourism and Halal tourism in Italy and Spain.
I compare Halal Tourism in Italy and Spain, popular tourist destinations with a history of Islamic heritage. I investigate how Halal Tourism and Islamic Heritage take up their place within Italy’s vast range of heritage and tourism, and compare that to the situation in Spain. As halal tourism is increasingly lucrative, my thesis aims to create awareness about its possibilities and increase diversity within Italy’s tourism sector.
