Titolo ricerca: Modernity Contested, The Suppression of Atomism (1640 - 1695).
This project aims to reconstruct the Catholic responses to the new currents at the heyday of the atomistic revival (1640-1680) and to map the internal struggles taking place within the Church and its institutions. It focusses both on positive and negative accounts of atomism written by Catholic Clergy and tries to reconstruct their influence. The project examines, edits and place into context texts belonging to this struggle.
