Titolo ricerca: Religious Diplomacy between Paris, Rome, and Istanbul: The Assumptionist Order and the Roman Catholic Church in the Ottoman Empire (1863- 1914).
This research focuses on the Assumptionists' presence in the Ottoman Empire between 1863 and 1914. It examines the Assumptionist order as a vessel of Vatican's Oriental policies and France's religious-cultural imperialism with the objective of fostering the unification of the Eastern and Western Churches, creating a pro-Western Ottoman citizen while diminishing the Orthodox Russia's and Protestant West's influence over Ottoman Christians.
