Daphne is a MA student of Art, Market, and Connoisseurship at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She stayed in Rome at the KNIR during the fall of 2020 when she participated in the minor Italian Art and History in Rome and Florence. Her academic interests are broad and she studies a range of objects and subjects from an interdisciplinary point of view. As a combination of her interest in film, Renaissance art and dynamics of social criticism, Daphne devoted her BA thesis to Pier Paolo Pasolini and the use of tableaux vivants in his 1971 film ‘Il Decameron’.
