With its classic open-shelf arrangement, KNIR’s library offers an ideal place for deepening and inspiration.
For researchers at the Institute, the library is open 24/7.
The library’s collection has over 60,000 titles, including special periodicals and digital resources. The collection mainly covers the archaeology, history and art history of Rome and Italy. Recently, the collection has been expanded to include more interdisciplinary works and new sections related to cultural heritage and museology have been added.
Our library also houses several special collections of rare books, archaeological and art-historical photographs and collections of postcards, maps and engravings.
