In my PhD proposal, using gender theories and classical reception methodology, I aim to elaborate on the following research question: ‘How do contemporary, transnational far-right groups appropriate elements of Greco-Roman Antiquity and the Middle Ages for both the idealisation and demonization of women in their gender politics aimed at saving Western civilization from perceived ruin?’
