Title research: The Development of Roads and Transport Infrastructure in the Hinterland of Rome.
My research investigates Roman road construction in Rome's hinterland (3rd BC - 5th CE). Using pXRF analysis and energetic modeling, I map the logistics and costs of stone sourcing, quarrying, transport, and labor, revealing the economic impact of road-building. By integrating geological, archaeological, and historical data, I aim to understand the influence of material procurement on Rome'sinfrastructure and economy.
