Title research: The Reality of Rhetoric: Exploring Religious Violence in Late Antiquity.
My research examines the interplay of religious rhetoric and violence in Late Antiquity, challenging former views ofreligious intolerance. It explores how rhetoric influenced actions, moving beyond seeing texts as mere historicalrecords. By analysing case studies of (marginalized) groups like Jews, Neoplatonists, and Christians, it highlights theblurred line between rhetorical and actual violence, offering new insights into religious dynamics.
