Iris studied Art History and Religious Studies at the University of Groningen. She first stayed at the KNIR for a course on papal politics in memorial culture, and returned for a student scholarship to write her master thesis on the motif of ‘Ewige Anbetung’ in cardinal tomb monuments. Iris now works at the University Museum and as a secretary in the Art History department, both at the University of Groningen.
