Gerjan obtained his bachelors in history alongside a bachelors in Philosophy of History in 2022. He wrote his history thesis about the Homeric Hymn to Hermes and his philosphy thesis about the moral implications of ethically judging historical actors. At the end of his bachelors, he attended the KNIR Course ‘Constantijn & Rome’. After his bachelors, Gerjan went on to do a board year at the Cultural Student Centre Usva. Gerjan is currently starting the Research Master: Ancient, Medieval and Early Modern History at the University of Groningen. His research focusses on Ancient Greek religion, culture and philosophy.
