Title research: Finding the Bronzesmith: Determining the Presence of Specialists versus Generalists in Bronze Metallurgy during the Bronze Age.
The role of bronze working within Bronze Age cultures is thought to have been primarily carried out by specialist craftsmen. However, it may be the case that most bronze working was in fact practiced by these generalists. By analyzing the role of bronze production, we may be able to re-contextualize the role of bronze working within Bronze Age societies and gain a greater understanding of Bronze Age society and culture as a whole.
