The research focuses on the Polish religious leader Andrzej Towiański. Towianism developed in Lithuania in 1828 and was diffused in Poland, France, Italy, and Switzerland. Through the study of archives present in the various institutions this research aims at displaying the influence of Towiański’s social and religious doctrine from the Italian Risorgimento to the twentieth century.
