Marieke obtained her bachelor’s degree in History from Radboud University. During her bachelor’s, Marieke was interested in both cultural theories in combination with ancient history, especially the Roman provinces and local/regional material cultures. She followed the course ‘Mapping the Via Appia’ in 2022 and stayed at the KNIR. Currently, she pursues these passions in her masters at Radboud University with a specialization in heritage studies.
